COVID 19: 100 Registered Fisherfolks Receive Food Packs in the Province of South Cotabato

BFAR Rehiyon Dose supported 100 Registered Fisherfolks in the province of South Cotabato by distributing food packs that each contained five (5) kilograms rice, one (1) pack bihon, 1/2 kg dried fish, one (1) pack biscuits, three (3) sachets coffee, one (1) pack palm oil, one (1) pack vinegar, one (1) can corned beef and one (1) can beef loaf. The food packs distribution kicked-off on May 5, 2020 at the Municipality of Polomolok, South Cotabato and ended at Tiboli, South Cotabato on May 6, 2020.

The following are the City and Municipalities with the total number of fisherfolk’s recipients: Polomolok (10), Tampakan (15), Koronadal City (10), Tantangan (10), Banga (10), Norala (6), Sto.Niño (12), Lake Sebu (10) and Tboli (17).

The activity was facilitated by PFO Butch Jamiro, Jr. and his staff, with the support extended from the Agriculturist Officers and Fishery Coordinators from the nine (9) City/Municipalities.
